When he realized his parent's camcorder could be used for more than just recording family gatherings around the holidays, Thomas Cameron began his life as a filmmaker. As soon as he was tall enough to reach it out of the closet, he started making short films with his friends, siblings, cat, dog and toy collection, before deciding nothing interested him more in life than telling stories through images.

He moved to Chicago in 2007 to study cinematography at Columbia College. The very first and very last frame of footage he filmed while there was of Elvis Kunesh, with whom he formed a strong heterosexual bond and collaborated for three years on The Windy City and many other projects that can be seen here at Splot Studios.

Thomas currently lives in New York and works as a Director of Photography and Camera Assistant. His favorite dinosaur is the dilophosaurus and his favorite food is applesauce.
