SCOTT PALMER - Sound Genius

Growing up, Scott developed a fascination for films, often times watching 'Jaws', 'Aliens' and 'Star Wars' religiously. Once his older brother made the mistake of letting Scott use his video camera in high school, he began to expand his interest in movies. It was there he began making short films with friends as well as develop an interest in radio and sound.

Deciding to pursue his childhood dreams, he went to Columbia College Chicago in 2006 where he deciding to combine these interests and study production sound and post production sound for film. During his time at Columbia, he met the Splot Studios crew with whom he formed many professional friendships that resulted in frequent collaborations. Upon graduating in 2010, he went on to do, but not limited to, production sound for the feature films 'Close Quarters', 'Easton's Article' and 'Reclamation' and post production sound for the Columbia practicum film 'Quarter 'til Two' and the short film 'Exodus to Dimension 11'.

In addition to his contributions to the sound of many productions for Splot Studios, Scott appeared in several episodes of 'The Windy City' as the adorably re-occurring homeless vagrant referred to by fans as 'Hobo Scott'. He has portrayed homeless people on multiple occasions.
